Aden once again finds himself thrust into the middle of a sexual assault storyline. The word "rape" is finally used in the series, leaving the viewer hopeful that the situation will be handled well.On the evidence here, the chances are about 50/50.Once more, attempts to make us think Aden's a nice guy these days only succeed in making him not seem like Aden:his confrontation with Robbo is ridiculously tame, Belle's reaction is a lot more convincing.Joey, sadly, doesn't appear until very late in the episode but her scene with Robbo and her defiance towards Aden and Belle are nicely done.Belle once again manages to come across as irritating even though she's trying to do the right thing.
Xavier is still proving to be one of the most unnecessary and aggravating additions to the show and he's already started to drag Ruby down with him, note her childish behaviour towards Martin when he tells them off. They're starting to make a decent group with Jai and Annie although Xavier's friendship with them just seems to come out of nowhere.Given that you've got three basically sensible teens, you do wonder why none of them does much to stop Xavier when he decides to pull an unequivocally dangerous stunt.
Things seem to be looking up for Irene in the romance stakes but unfortunately the same cannot be said for Miles and Kirsty. The storyline's already gone on too long and while it's nice that Kirsty hasn't immediately slotted back into being with Miles and working at the school, let's hope it isn't too long before things are resolved one way or another.
