I dont know why many of you are saying you didnt like this movie? Its a great movie - i loved it!

And no, im not just some young girl who ONLY likes it coz im in love with Ashton or anything like that (although there WAS some Ashton-drooling to be had, haha), i am a 26 yr old female with what i think is GOOD movie tastes :p

I thought Ash & Cameron were great and the other characters were very likable too. The story was good and the actual movie was very funny - my friends and i were laughing all the way through. So what if it was a bit predictable? It was a lot of fun getting to the predictable ending.

I give the movie an 8 out of 10 and am planning to see it again soon!

8 out of ten? what would you give a 9 out of 10?

its bad and i can tell you why because i havent seen it and can predict the plot line by just common sense:
1. They get drunk and get married
2. They regret it the next day
3. They live together or something and fight
4. They start warming up to each other
5. They love each other....YAY

What a terrible movie It makes me sick giving it an 8 out of 10 what are you thinking. The most you can get out of this movie is a few chuckles and a few one liners commenting on someones winky size. And YES i said winky

I saw this movie last night and yes...wristhotk1...thats exactly what happens in the movie. But with a movie like this, are we really expecting some great dialogue, awesome oscar worthy acting, huge twists-- NO! People watch this movie because its entertaining, not because of all the things listed earlier. get a grip.

Yes, you are SO right- the ONLY GOOD MOVIES anymore are the ones where you have NO CLUE how the plot is going to go!!!.
I feel so sorry for one of my best friends, because he rarely gets stumped in regards to being able to tell plot twists. /sarcasm
But then, I actually feel sorry more for you, because despite his incredible knack to be able to pick out plot twists, upon twists, he at least can still enjoy the movie. I will admit he enjoys being outfoxed on occasion, but I digress.

Do you actually expect all movies to be some sort of blockbuster, witty, blind-side you with plot twists, Oscar-producing hit? As I mentioned on another thread- think (m)any of Mike Meyers or most of Adam Sandler's movies.... I'd wager this beats them, but when I say that, I do realize that's from my own opinion/preference. Others, I know, will have enjoyed their time watching those two, vs. this movie. That's fine. But to say that this movie is bad, just because you can call the plot?
I guess you'd say, then, that there's LOTS of bad movies out there. You can probably have picked out the plotline for "Princess Bride", too. Is that a "bad" movie, too? Even Star Wars or Indiana Jones.... Narnia.... Pick the top flicks for any genre, I bet a huge number of people (even diehard fans) will be able to say they called the plot before seeing even a preview. Predictability does not make a movie bad- though unpredictability does make a movie better, I'll admit. :c)

NO NO NO! People are going to see this because they are as PROGRAMMABLE as a computer. Anyone with 1/2 a brain, no wait a 1/4 of a brain would see that this as STUPID STUPID STUPID. Does anyone really love a "by the numbers" romantic (if you can call this movie that) comedy? Why would anyone want to go see a movie so incredibly predictable and unoriginal? WHY WHY WHY? Like it or not movies are the art of today, and with that in mind how many times would a normal person go to a museum to see the same painting done by a different artist (mind you with nothing new, just the carbon copy)? I'll bet you this--$1000 dollars that in just 3 days you will forget 99% of this film and about 75% walking out. How come? Because the brain really craves fresh new ideas, but some people are trying to pound in the same old sh$t.

totally agree! america is spending all of it's time on cranking out worthless, cookie-cutter movies just to tide us brainless media whores over until the next one, etc, etc. plus cameron diaz is a complete joke.

So what if it predictable? I don't think you should judge the movie until you have seen it for yourself. It's not overly romantic, and has many funny components. Especially the, "WHY!?" "You know why!"
