What can we say about our Fathers?, 10 May 2007
9/10
Author: Number_VI from West London, United Kingdom

Plot:

The Man Behind the Curtain: Ben begrudgingly begins to introduce Locke to the secrets of the island, beginning with the mysterious Jacob. Meanwhile, Juliet's secret goes public

My Review:

It's funny, all this time we wondered why Ben had a reason for wanting Locke to kill his own father, and did we at one point think that was how Ben conceived the world? Through vengeance and the relief of repressed aggression and anger, and allow whomever it concerned to move forward with their lives, without regret? No.

He were are given a more personal insight into the life of Benjamin Linus, a man who has belligerently and anatomically gets what he want, through his use of planning and a great amount of patience.

Though much is revealed in this episode, there are missing gaps, more questions sewed to the rich tapestry of history and resolve. In addition, a few bewildering mysteries that will make you wonder and feel extremely tense and shocked. Don't get on Ben' bad side.

Verdict:

To an extent, we are not given as much as would like, unless it feels as if the episode ran out of time to reveal more and more about what's really going on. However, it has started a chain of events that may be irreversible. 9/10
