Not only are they capable of lighting up the silver screen, they are also some of today's most talented young actresses, commanding huge fees - in some cases, in the millions. Many have won multiple awards, while others have starred in some of today's biggest box office hits. In short, we're listing down the cream of the crop!

Just like our recent Top 50 hottest young actors, we've narrowed down our list from 88 to 50, and set an age limit. If you miss seeing some of your favorites, so do we - including Maggie Gyllenhaal (31 years old) and Amy Adams (34 years old). Definitely some of the names you'll see on the list are emerging talents - the ones you will see getting the big roles in the near future - and some of them already have, with awards and nominations to boot.

This Week on DVD: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Last Chance Harvey, Wendy and Lucy

As far as must-have DVDs go, there's not much hitting stores this week aside from the Criterion release of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but other noteworthy discs include the overlooked 2008 indie film Wendy and Lucy starring Michelle Williams, Last Chance Harvey starring Dustin Hoffman, and another Michelle Williams flick: the Ewan McGregor thriller Incendiary. Twilight is out on Blu-ray this week, along with a slew of back catalog titles including Big, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Grease and Saturday Night Fever. Who's the Next Big Female Movie Star?

Julia Roberts has yet to be surpassed. Back in September of last year I asked Who's the Next Big Male Movie Star? At the time Robert Pattinson Fever had spread all over the Internet and the conversation resulted in a wasted experiment as commenters weren't able to have a real debate. However, a few people did ask for a similar feature for the females and I have finally gotten around to putting it together. With the males the name I was looking at in comparison was Will "Guaranteed Box-Office Gold" Smith. With the females I was unable to come up with a name that lives up to the career Julia Roberts put together and she remained my muse.
