The 4th film in Barna Kabay's and Bence Gyöngyössy remakes of old Hungarian movies. The previous ones were: Hyppolit (1999), Meseautó (2000) and Szoknya, egy nadrág, Egy (2005).
Director Bence Gyöngyössy said in an interview that he did not even seen the original film before shooting of the remake began. When he finally watched parts of it he only did it to see how special effects people duplicated actor Kálmán Latabár in the 1940s.
