In a red carpet interview with Coming Soon, producer Lauren Shuler Donner spoke out about the 20th Century Fox forthcoming film, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine". Though insisting to be secretive about details of the action fantasy film, the filmmaker let out that when watching "Wolverine", fans will be presented with a darker "X-Men" movie which is supported with a lot of action sequences.

"I guess it's closer to the first 'X-Men' in tone because it's a little darker, but there's a lot of action," she explained. "It's his origin story. It's really good. I've been in the editing room the last couple of weeks and I think that it's good and that audiences are going to like it. But it's a little darker." She also teases that this time Hugh Jackman will show a different side of Wolverine that no one has ever seen before.

Hollywood couple Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are reportedly househunting in London.

The Rendition co-stars, who have been dating since last year, are said to have been viewing a number of properties, both apartments and townhouses, in the upmarket area of Mayfair.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper, Witherspoon is particularly keen on finding a home safe enough for her two young children, from her marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe.

A real estate source tells the publication, "Reese was extremely concerned about security issues.

"She seemed to particularly like places where they could enter and exit not directly onto the street. That's not always an easy thing in Central London, especially Mayfair. But we were able to come up with a couple of places both she and Jake seemed to like."

Gyllenhaal is currently in the U.K. filming scenes for his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a flick which has been plagued by much rumor, as of late. Some are saying that director Gavin Hood (Rendition) has been butting heads with Fox execs over the “dark tone” of the film; others are saying that star Hugh Jackman is butting heads with his director; and quite a few people close to the film are promising that it will feature a few surprises, and more cameos from Marvel’s mutant gallery than you can shake a stick at.

Ugo.com was kind enough to do the research the rest of us were too lazy to do, putting together a fact sheet of confirmed (as in fully quoted and linked) Wolverine plot points, in order to help us all sort fact from fiction.

Latest: Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have denied reports they are to marry.

Brokeback Mountain star Gyllenhaal was rumoured to have proposed to the 32-year-old actress and reports claimed the couple was planning a winter wedding.

But representatives for both stars have dismissed the stories, telling People.com, "They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports."

The pair met in 2006 on the set of their thriller Rendition.

Reese Witherspoon has finally agreed to marry actor Jake Gyllenhaal at Christmas, according to a new report.

Brokeback Mountain star Gyllenhaal has reportedly told friends he plans to wed Witherspoon, 32, in December after he finishes filming his forthcoming adventure movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

A source on the movie's Morocco set tells British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, "Jake is telling everyone they are getting married at Christmas.

"He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time.

"When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes."

The couple met in 2006 on the set of their thriller Rendition.

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is desperate to settle down and start a family with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon, according to reports.

The Brokeback Mountain hunk has been romantically involved with divorced mother-of-two Witherspoon since meeting on the set of their 2007 film Rendition.

The couple has been inseparable since, and, according to U.S. magazine Ok!, Gyllenhaal has made his intention to begin a family with Witherspoon clear - despite having yet to propose.

A source says, "He knows he might be jumping the gun thinking of kids, but he knows that Reese is the one. He laughs and says he needs to propose and do this the right way. It really is first comes love, then comes marriage...

"(Reese) reminds him that it's more than just coming over to take the kids to the park. Your entire life has to change. She's admitted that he has grown from when they first met into this very dependable dad type. He is ready to have his whole life change."

Witherspoon's eight-year marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe ended in 2006, and their divorce was finalised on 5 October. The former couple has two children together, eight-year-old Ava and four-year-old Deacon.

Jake Gyllenhaal has laughed off reports he is planning to propose to girlfriend Reese Witherspoon and rush her down the aisle.

The superstar couple began dating on the set of their 2007 film Rendition, and have been inseparable since, prompting reports of an imminent engagement.

Now friends tells American magazine Ok! Gyllenhaal will propose any day soon, and they don't want to wait long for wedding.

A friend of Witherspoon tells the tabloid, "They'll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together."

Gyllenhaal, 27, recently confessed he was deeply "in love" with Witherspoon to producer pal Ryan Kavahaugh.

But Gyllenhaal's spokesperson Carrie Byalick insists the gossips are jumping to conclusions, telling Ok! "There are no current wedding plans."

The Rendition hunk has always been surrounded by tenacious females - namely his mum, screenwriter Naomi Foner, and older sister, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal - and they've instilled in him an "extraordinary" respect for strong-willed members of the opposite sex.

So much so, the actor actively seeks out a similar strength of mind when he's picking potential suitors.

He says, "Well, between my mum and my sister, I definitely grew up with a particular sort of woman. They are strong women who really know what they believe, and I like that.

"They also taught me to respect a woman's mind. Growing up with them, I've always known about the power and the energy that women hold - anybody who spends any time with women knows how extraordinary that particular sex is!"

Ryan Phillippe has given his ex-wife Reese Witherspoon and her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal his blessing.

Phillippe and Witherspoon, who have two children together, ended their eight-year marriage with a divorce last year.

He is now dating Australian starlet Abbie Cornish, while Witherspoon is in a relationship with her Rendition co-star Gyllenhaal.

And Phillippe wishes Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal the best.

Speaking to U.S. radio host Howard Stern on Thursday, Phillippe said, "He's a good dude. I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is."

The 33-year-old added that his split from Witherspoon was a "mutual" decision.

He said, "Leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That's a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles."
