I think there are only three film festivals on the circuit where filmmakers and producers are really conscious on how a production start date my ultimately affect their film festival status. There are the heavyweights of Cannes and Venice, and then there is Sundance. For the better part of the last 15 years, we are talking about the Reservoir Dogs era, the festival has jumped started thousands of careers and perhaps the best sign of adulation is the creation of competing festivals in SXSW and Tribeca. Rachel Uchitel, a sometime club hostess, is a well-known party girl in the Hamptons, who has a reputation for pursuing celebrities. She is at the center of a supposed scandal that sent Tiger Woods – and his marriage – careening into the rough in an early Friday morning car crash. Uchitel said she was working at Hamptons watering hole Pink Elephant over the summer as a VIP hostess, according to her Facebook page. As a hostess, she said she’s entertained such celebrities as Sting, Uma Thurman, Kate Hudson, Mickey Rourke, Nas, and lots of socialites and famous models, "like Rachel Zoe and Yigal Azourel." Most recently Uchitel was linked with married television actor David Boreanaz, who stars in the Fox hit show “Bones.” »

Bones opens this week on a real estate agent giving a tour to a couple. Due to the formula for procedural dramas we know that we will be finding a dead body within the next couple of moments. The title of the episode, in all its alliterated glory, hints it will be some sort of appendage; we are not disappointed on either account.
Elsewhere in Bonesland Booth, Brennan and Sweets are all hangin’. Booth tells them about his grandfather, who is coming to meet them at the diner and is planning on staying at Booth’s apartment for a while. He apparently got kicked out of his nursing home for slugging a nurse.
John Walton (Ralph Waite) of Waltons’ fame plays said Grandfather. When introduced to Brennan he makes references to how Booth must feel towards her and when introduced to Sweets he makes them to Fisher-Price. These continue as »

Christmas will come early for Bones fans this year.
On December 10, Booth and Brennan investigate the case of a man in a Santa Claus costume that was blown up trying to rob a bank.
But that's not the exciting news: Brennan's father (Ryan O'Neil) asks Brennan's cousin, Margaret, to spend the holiday with him and his daughter. Margaret is played by none other than Zooey Deschanel!
It's a guest-starring role Bones fans have been hoping for since real-life sister Emily Deschanel was cast in the lead role of Bones. Below, get an early look at Zooey on the series:

Fox has released 8 video featurettes with the cast of Bones. They discuss the Christmas episode which is set to air on December 10th and the cast reminisces about their own past Christmases. Bones always does cute Christmas episodes, so I'm looking forward to this one.
The December 10th episode also happens to feature Zooey Deschanel, Bones' real-life sister, who will be playing her cousin. We don't yet have an official synopsis for the episode, but Fox released a short press release about Zooey and the return of Ryan O'Neal (Bones' father):
It’S A Real Sister Act When Zooey Deschanel Guest-stars On “Bones” Thursday, December 10, On Fox
Ryan O’Neal Also Guest-Stars in Episode
Zooey Deschanel, star of the romantic comedy “(500) Days of Summer” and sister of Bones’ Emily Deschanel, will guest-star in “The Goop on the Girl,” a special holiday-themed episode of Bones airing Thursday, Dec. »

EW passed out some cameras to the Bones cast and crew and got 16 behind-the-scenes of the December 3rd episode of Bones (5.09 "The Gamer in the Grease"). You can view a promo and photos for the episode and also check out the EW photos below (make sure to read the captions!)
We gave David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, and Co. some cameras and told them to go crazy.
The result? A funny, twisted look at filming the Dec. 3 episode, which was inspired by the doc "The King of Kong," and the Dec. 10 hour, which involves a bomb-wielding Santa. ''David loves to flash his badge,'' says Deschanel, who caught him in the act as ''Uncle Hershey'' drove them to set. Uncle Hershey has been with Boreanaz for roughly a decade. ''He's my main guy,'' Boreanaz says. ''He's Uncle Hershey!''

A few days ago I posted promo photos for the December 3rd episode of Bones (next week will be pre-empted) and now we have a promo video for you. It's a gamer-centric episode (and an Avatar-centric episode in a brilliant cross-promotion move by Fox because they really want to recoup the $300 million they spent on making the James Cameron picture).
Brennan And Booth Play To Win On An All-new “Bones” On Thursday, December 3, On Fox
Joel David Moore (“Avatar”) Guest-Stars
When the remains of a competitive gamer are discovered in a grease truck, Brennan and Booth are called to investigate the case. The victim, Steve Rifton, is the only active player known in the gaming community to have received a perfect score on a famous video game. Steve turned his success into a lucrative partnership with a gaming referee and charged fans to play on the very machine that gave him the perfect score. »

Is it just me, or did this episode feel like a bit of filler? Yes, it's always fun to see Brennan get giddy (for her) over investigating sexual fetishes, but they failed to make the "feeders and eaters" as compelling as the "horsey play" from Season 3. Getting to meet Booth's grandfather Hank (guest star Ralph Waite) and having him try to play matchmaker for Booth and Brennan was sweet, but for this to be a proper Sweeps episode, Pops needed to die. There, I said it. (Note: I do realize that had Pops died at the end of this episode as written, »

I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to marketing and product placement. It's so ubiquitous that I tune it out, or laugh along when it shows up on 30 Rock. I can never really muster up the rage some viewers do when Pizza Hut, Ford, or the iPhone is prominently placed in a movie or television show. The most I'll do is roll my eyes and joke about it later on ("Did you notice that? Lame!"), because I find the big picture to be more important than some high-priced props. That is, I didn't care until Fox proudly announced that Bones will return in two weeks with an Avatar themed episode. (The promo is embedded below the jump for the curious and eager.)
Look, I get why Fox would think this was a slamdunk. It's on their network, and one of Bones' recurring cast members, Joel Moore, is actually in Avatar. »

Brennan will lift up her shirt for a guy in the next episode of "Bones" called "The Gamer in the Grease". On December 3, Brennan and Booth are called to investigate when the remains of a competitive gamer are discovered in a grease truck.
The victim, Steve Rifton, is the only active player known in the gaming community to have received a perfect score on a famous video game. Steve turned his success into a lucrative partnership with a gaming referee and charged fans to play on the very machine that gave him the perfect score.
But between sour business deals and bitter competitors, the team at the Jeffersonian must work to narrow down the many suspects with motive for ending Rifton's reign as gaming king. Meanwhile, Hodgins, Sweets and Jeffersonian intern Colin Fischer (guest star Joel David Moore) take turns camping out for tickets to a movie premiere.

Oh my God, how much do I love Bones? Answer: A Lot. If you've been watching trailers for Avatar, you will have noticed Joel David Moore, who has played intern Colin Fisher on several episodes of Bones. Well, Moore is back and there's a big cross-promotion going on as Sweets and Fisher take turns camping out for tickets to the opening on Avatar. Bones And Avatar in one episode? It's like Nutella and peanut butter together on toast (try it, it's yummy). It's also funny and awesome.
Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis for the December 3rd episode and you can check them out below. Also, take a peek at the promo photos for the November 19th episode, where Booth's grandfather makes an appearance. Then it's a week's break until the December 3rd episode.

Nicole Bessette, our Bones Fan Columnist, is a big fan of Stephen Fry on Bones. If you're interested in becoming a Fan Columnist click here.
I don't know about you, but I just thoroughly enjoy every guest appearance from the lovely Stephen Fry on Bones. Considering this man's incredibly impressive filmography, it is truly an honor to have him on the show, and I must say that I think it is one of his best roles yet. And yes, I know I'm a bit biased.
But you must admit that the character of Dr. Gordon Wyatt is simply wonderful. I mean, who else could help Booth realize his feelings for Dr. Brennan or help him understand why he shot a clown off of the top of an ice cream truck? He is probably the person Booth trusts most after Bones, of course, and this makes him an invaluable addition to every episode he's in. »

The group’s second, and final, self-titled release was placed at number 24, while his other band Babyshambles saw their debut record ‘Down In Albion’ achieve 35th place.
