"Clerks"

- Opening and closing shots are in black and white.

- Shots of Dante and Randal opening Mooby's resemble the shots of Dante opening Quick Stop.

- Jay mentions circus seals, which he mentioned in "Clerks."

- Dante is in yet another love triangle.

- Dante paints the nails of one of his love interests, and like Clerks, is the girl he ends up in the end wanting to be with.

- A scene takes place on the roof.

- Randal does the same walk he does when he enters Quick Stop in the first one.

- The shot of Jay dancing in the "1979" montage is an almost exact replication of the shot of Jay dancing in the first one.

- There is a firetruck seen with the number 37 written on it.

- Randal mentions Julie Dwyer's wake, which they attended in the first one. Randal also says "Shit or get off the pot," which he said in the first one.

- Randal brings up Veronica, Dante's girlfriend from the first film.

- The shot of Becky fixing the light in Quick Stop is shot exactly like the shot in the first one where Dante fixs the light.

- The sign on the Quick Stop in the end says "We assure you, we're re-open," which references the sign on the Quick Stop in the first one, which says "I assure you, we're open."

- Walt Flanagan and Grace Smith reprise their roles as the Wool-Cap smoker and the Milk Maid, respectively.

"Mallrats"

- Poopie trim, something William says in "Mallrats", is spray-painted on the burned down Quick Stop.

"Chasing Amy"

- Nails, the only cigarettes that Quick Stop sells, first appeared in "Amy".

"Dogma"

- When Becky is on the roof and yells at Jay, he says "Lord" - Referring to Alanis Morissette as God in "Dogma".

- Mooby first appeared in "Dogma."

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

- The money Jay and Bob give to Dante and Randal to open the stores is from the "Bluntman and Chronic" film.

- In the last Jay and Bob shot, Jay's sweater says, "Justice TLF", referring to Jay's girlfriend from "J&SBSB."

Since "Clerks" was Kevin Smith's view on being in his 20s', and "Clerks II" was his view on his 30s', he has stated if he has something to say about his 40s', he will most likely use Dante and Randal as a vehicle to express his views.
