KOREATOWN: The film explores the underbelly of life in one L.A. neighborhood known for its nefarious operations that benefit from selling drugs, prostitution, and human trafficking. Members of the LAPD are on the take -- sabotaging investigations and protecting the scum on the street. Disagreements or alleged over-stepping by the hired help is not tolerated and results in framed crimes and long prison sentences.
After a 15-year stretch in federal prison for a framed narcotics buy, Cowboy (Tim Lovelace) is getting out. He is dying, suffering from a brain tumor, but hes desperate to reunite with the daughter Kimberly (Maegan Stewart) hes never met and whose mother, the love of Cowboys life, (Kaiai Kim) was murdered because she had also caught the eye of the main kingpin, Joachim, The Ghost (Daz Crawford).
A fish out of water, Cowboy must immerse himself in a very dangerous journey involving Korean mafia, dishonest cops and, criminal businessmen. Cultures clash, senseless violence erupts, and the Cowboy must navigate carefully to save his daughter from the clutches of the Ghost by taking down the drug trade. His allies include Detective Baker (David E. Baker), Andy (Greg Dow) and Father Glaslow (Joe Estevez, brother of Martin Sheen.).
