I found an old VHS copy of this in a Sydney video store.
Its an amazing documentary about gay oppression around the time of the first Sydney Mardi Gras in 1978. The police played their part in making sure that things didn't go smoothly.
I felt like I was watching vital gay history taking place before my very eyes. Absolutely amazing!
The voice-over for this film is by Jude Kuring aka Noeline Burke from Prisoner: Cell Block H. And a fine voice she has too.
This documentary is a welcome antidote to the lethargic times we live in where demonstrating and crusading against injustices is considered old hat and sooo 1970s!
This documentary is part of gay history and thus is very important. If ever there was a time capsule this should be included.
Why isn't this film more readily available or released on DVD?!!
