I saw this at Sundance 2005 - thought it was great. Of the 14 films I saw that year, I'd put it in the top 5. Not as good as Mysterious Skin or Me and You and Everyone We Know, but on par with The Squid and the Whale and Junebug.
I was afraid it was just going nowhere but am pleasantly surprised to learn it's just been released. Just saw it on Ebert & Roeper and it got 2 Thumbs Up.
It's a really interesting film with great performances. The pace is comfortable so if you have ADD you probably won't like it.
