In an apparent effort to prevent the new movie Die Mommie Die! from being yanked from the 10 art-house theaters in which it is currently being shown, the distributors of the film have placed placards in the theaters crediting playwright Charles Casillo for the story. They have also revised print ads to include the credit. Casillo had obtained a temporary restraining order last Friday barring further showing of the film without the credits. He claims that the film is based on his play One Night Stand in a Lonely Hotel. Charles Busch, who is credited as the movie's sole writer, has denied the claim. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Nov. 7. »
