Another entry into the Hitman/Heroic Bloodshed genre, starring Jordan Chan as a killer with a conscience who wants to -- yep, you guessed it -- get out of the life before it's too late. And if you've seen any number of film in the Heroic Bloodshed genre, then you pretty much knows the outcome. Will he escape with his life? Will the life take his, er, life? The answer is obvious to anyone who knows the genre.
The odd thing about KILLER is how ineffectual its action scenes are. The movie really does a poor job of showing action, which leaves only the dramatic scenes to hold onto. They're fine, but nothing altogether great.
Another entry into a familiar genre, with nothing new to add. Watch it if you like the genre.
5 out of 10.
