Trivia:
The scene where Sean beats the dealer to death was cut by seven seconds. The original scene featured the dealer spitting out teeth and bloody pieces from his cheek. The scene was cut in order to get the R rating and not NC-17. more
Goofs:
Crew or equipment visible: As Sean starts up the stairs to the 2nd floor of the old cantina towards the end of the film, you can see a crew member moving a light reflector in a mirror on the left side of the frame. This is fully visible in the widescreen print, but appears only as a moving light in the full screen print. more
Quotes:
Sean:
They call us down here. They take away our weapons? They expect us to go into a building full of drunken cartel gunmen unarmed? I mean, that isn't fun.
Ty Frost:
You're not gettin' paid to have fun. Good luck, gentlemen.

The plot of this movie was very weak, and I found myself bored at some parts. Also, they tried to mask over the stale and dry plot with gory battle scenes and images of people brutally tortured and murdered. They really went over the top when Sean and his friend went into the house to find the three dead men, one with his tongue pulled out through his throat, the other with his back entirely carved up, and the other....well, I didn't really know. The action sequences were well done, however. The acting was also very weak again from Vin Diesel, not being a big fan of his. Too much bloody violence. I suppose that with all the problems this film had, I shouldn't have expected much. 5 out of 10.
