-I know LOTS of people will disagree but I really enjoyed this movie and thought it was the best Bond film ever. I say that of course not having seen all the bond movies and not really having been a fan of the series in the first place. Fans of the old James Bond movies will no doubt hate this movie, but people my age will no doubt love this -Following in traditional James Bond manner the movie begins with a spectacular action scene, but unlike the past Bond movies the opening ties in with the rest of the events that happen in the movie. All the main characters are introduced in that scene and we get to meet the villain and get a loud fantastic scene that ends up with dear old Bond being tortured. I really love how they actually let Bond get tortured in this one, really broke away the spell that he's invincible, plus it has Halle Berry. But alas, all is not well in this spy's paradise.
-Now let's talk about the movie's problems shall we. First of wouldn't it have been easier for the General's son to get plastic surgery instead that BS DNA transfer crap he had. And why did they chicken out with the movie after having such a great opening sequence where Bond is tortured. They should have played more on that instead of just having it in the movie and not talk about it much again. I mean this man was tortured for 13 months and suddenly when he gets out and shaves off his beard he's back to his regular old self? Doesn't make much sense. And another slight problem is the beautiful Halle Berry's character. She was great and all but, she kept making these middle school sexual jokes that made me look funny. Yes, they were that bad
-Being an audiophile I have to say that my favorite part of the movie was booming sound mix. From the MGM lion roaring to the subwoofer heavy gunshots and music, this movie will make my fellow sound geeks happy to have ears. The music is good but nothing great, It does the job of supporting the action we're seeing and has it's moments but it's nothing memorable here folks.
-I know I'm a minority in saying this but I really loved this movie, too bad Brosnan won't be back for the next ones because this man was born to play this role. Too bad he got money hungry and was dumped.
Looking forward to the next one
