According to director Doris Wishman much of the footage for the movie was destroyed by a disgruntled employee at Movielab when the business went bankrupt. Wishman then spent the next few years re-writing and re-editing the entire movie to fit around the footage that survived. This is the reason why the editing of the movie is so erratic and the plot incoherent at times. Wishman added in the voice-over narration of the detective to help with the plot.
The entire movie was filmed without sound, all the dialog and sound effects were dubbed in later.
The actor who played the monster in Mary's apparition wore his makeup after the filming and scared a man at a toll booth while driving home. The man at the toll booth refused to take the fee from the actor.
Doris Wishman's house was used for the Kent home, in fact the majority of the movie was shot around her house.
To raise money for the production Doris Wishman made a short trailer for the movie and sold it using the trailer, even before the principle photography had begun on the movie.
