Parents Guide for
Goldfinger (1964) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

Bond has sex implied 2 times. One characters name is Pussy Galore. Rear end is shown on a naked girl laying on a bed after being covered in gold paint.

Violence & Gore

Shooting scenes and men killed by poisonous gas. Man is ejected out of a car. Man is sucked out an airplane window. Many fistfighting scenes.

A man with a razor-rimmed bowler hat throws it striking a woman on her throat, killing her.

Two men are electrocuted: one in a bath and another against metal bars

A man is crushed to death in a car wrecking yard. The car he's in is literally crushed into a small metal cube.

None of these scenes are graphically portrayed (i.e no blood, gore, etc.)

Profanity

One use of the word "hell"

Bond only smokes one cigarette in the opening scene. There's also one scene where M and another man smoke a cigar. Some background smoking in a bar and on a meeting of the villains.

There was less smoking in this film than the previous two entries in the James Bond series, but still enough to earn the film a poor rating. Using a standardized scoring system, this film received a smoking rating of 4 Butts (on a scale of 0-4 Butts). For more information on the impact of onscreen smoking and the initiation of youth tobacco use, or for more information on the rating system, visit www.smokescreeners.org.

Bond orders a Vodka Martini shaken, not stirred and gets champagne out of a freezer.

A man carries a hat that can cut off heads, which he demonstrates on a statue.

A woman is found dead, having been covered in gold paint.
