- Stuntman Jean Perkins was killed while filming a stunt where he was transferring from the top of a railroad car to a rope ladder hanging from an airplane. He made the transfer, but a gust of wind slammed him back against the side of the railroad car, he was unable to hang on the ladder, and fell to his death.
