Alex O’Loughlin had been working as an actor long before I became aware of him. He was born in Australia and started his acting career there with movies such as "The Oyster Farmer," "Feed" and "The Invisible". He also did the Australian miniseries "The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant" playing her husband. Alex made his way to the American shores in the 6th season of FX’s "The Shield" as a new member of the strike team, "The Holiday" starring Kate Winslet and Jude Law in 2006 and the 2007 movie "August Rush" with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Keri Russell. But I found Alex on CBS’ "Moonlight". When I saw the ads for "Moonlight" in September of 2007, I knew I would watch because Alex caught my attention and I can’t resist a vampire story! At its heart, "Moonlight" was about drama, romance and adventure. As we were seeing the world through his eyes,

Heath Ledger's latest movie, The Dark Knight is currently sitting in the top 30 highest grossing movies of all time, yet his final movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is not having the same success. Ledger was half way though filming when he died, and to honor him Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law decided to complete his role. You would think a movie staring those three actors and the fact that it was Ledger's last film would make distributors fight over it like animals. However, that is…

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have donated their fee for completing Heath Ledger's final film role to the late star's daughter.
The acting trio agreed to play versions of Ledger's character Tony in The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus following his death in January.
And they decided to donate their fees to two-year-old Matilda - Ledger's daughter with actress Michelle Williams - because the star left an old will which did not include the little girl.
Director Terry Gilliam has praised the actors for their generosity, saying: "They didn't take money - it goes to Heath's daughter.
"That's extraordinary! And wonderful... and when you're part of that, you think, 'Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people.' And we've got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help."

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law have donated their earnings from new movie "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" to Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda. The actors, who all filled in for Heath, following his death from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January, wanted to give their money to Heath's two-year-old child with actress Michelle Williams to ensure she has a secure future. The movie's director Terry Gilliam said: "The three actors were totally heroic coming in. This doesn't happen that often, where there's a tragedy like this, and very famous, very successful actors suddenly say, "Ok, we'll do whatever it takes to help." "The came, they did the work, they allowed the movie to be finished, they didn't take the money... the money goes to Heath's daughter. That's extraordinary!" "I'm so glad these guys are so humble. That's why they make a great addition to the film. It

Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep is in final negotiations to star in an untitled project directed by Nancy Meyers, according to Variety.
Not much about the plot is known at this stage, but Streep is expected to play a woman caught in a romantic triangle with two men. Production on the Universal comedy is scheduled to kick off early next year.
Streep is currently onscreen in Universal's musical "Mamma Mia!" She will next be seen in John Patrick Shanley's drama "Doubt," in which she stars opposite Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Meyers' directing credits include "What Women Want" and "Something's Gotta Give." She most recently directed Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Jude Law and Kate Winslet in the 2006 popular romance "The Holiday."
I really enjoyed Meyers' previous flicks and I really admire Meryl Streep, so the two teaming up for a romantic comedy sounds quite interesting indeed.

Friends of Sienna Miller say the gorgeous actress is no home wrecker - and she never would have gone near her new love, Balthazar Getty, if he was still with his wife, Rosetta.
"She and Balthazar met through friends and he was already separated from his wife," one close associate told Page Six. In fact, when Getty announced in July that he'd split up with Rosetta, the mother of his four children, "he'd been sleeping on friends' couches for six months."
Sienna, who had broken up with actor Rhys Ifans, and Getty,

Director Terry Gilliam is pleased with his controversial decision to use three actors to finish Heath Ledger's final film - as the move has worked perfectly.
Ledger was in the middle of filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when he was found dead at his New York apartment in January.
Shooting was suspended following the tragic news, but Gilliam decided to complete Ledger's role and finish the movie by using three actors to shoot his final scenes - with Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell all stepping up to take on the part.
Gilliam says, "I've seen it and it works and it's great. It's the last chance to see Heath and he's brilliant. It (filming) stopped for a bit until the three heroes, as they're now known - Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell - came to the rescue and finished off Heath's part.
"So you ended up with four actors playing one character."

Sienna Miller's steamy affair – and much of her body – has been exposed now that the barely clad actress has been spotted kissing married Balthazar Getty in a boat off the Amalfi coast. Miller, who had a roller-coaster relationship with Jude Law and broke up with actor Rhys Ifans only weeks ago, has been quietly dating Getty for "at least two months," said a source. Miller, sporting a sailor's cap, was also spotted topless on the balcony of an Italian hotel room kissing Getty. Meanwhile, the Brothers & Sisters actor, 33, and his wife Rosetta "have been living separate lives for a while,

Perspective is everything, I guess. If you're a cast or crew member of The Dark Knight - or if you have seen and loved or will see and love the film - you probably believe Heath Ledger deserves at least an Oscar nomination. Yes, Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, and Michael Caine have all said they believe their late co-star is worthy, and a lot of early reviews indicate the same thing.
But if you're Terry Gilliam, the director of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the film Ledger was working on when he died of an accidental overdose earlier this year, you have a slightly different viewpoint.
"That's what Warner Brothers are saying, but they'll do anything to publicise their film...That's just what they do and you can't get upset because it's bullshit. They're like a great white shark which devours whatever it can."
Gilliam told London's Telegraph

Actor Jude Law is reportedly romancing British model Lily Cole - who is 15 years his junior.
The Alfie star, 35, has previously been romantically linked to rocker
Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly, but has been spotted with red-haired catwalk beauty Cole in recent weeks.
And their relationship appears to be hotting up, after Cole was snapped leaving Law's London home on Saturday afternoon having apparently spent the night together.
They had enjoyed a romantic candle-lit meal together in the U.K. capital's Covent Garden on Friday night, where onlookers said they were holding hands.
A source tells Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper, "Jude was keeping low-key. They were deep in conversation and making each other laugh.
"There was no blatant kissing but it was obvious they were more than just friends. Jude was being very affectionate and gazing into her eyes."

Nobody seemed quite capable of dismissing or faintly praising, then dismissing "My Blueberry Nights" (2007) fast enough when it wandered into American theaters this April . it was as if the collective unconscious had decided to make Wong Kar-wai pay in little cuts for both the demanding ordeal he put us all through with "2046" and for the hubris he subsequently displayed by daring to shoot his next film in the U.S., in English, and casting an inexperienced pop star (Norah Jones) in the lead. Fortunately, the film press one-upmanship has already faded into the disposable past, and the movie remains with us, nothing less than a blessing, a quintessentially Wongian daydream of romantic suspension and sweet lyrical conceits. If you require the Hong Kong context and the Cantonese-with-subtitles with your balladeering Wongness, you're just an import film slummer . "My Blueberry Nights" plays like a trip-around-the-world continuation of "Chungking Express,

Jude Law's ex-wife Sadie Frost is to return to her acting roots - by treading the boards in London's West End.
The actress-turned-fashion designer started her career in theatre before taking on a string of movie roles and eventually setting up fashion house Frost French.
But now the 43-year-old, who divorced Law in 2003, is headed back to the stage to star in a new play.
She says, "It's going to be a comedy. I can't say any more than that, but rehearsals start in December and I'm very much looking forward to it."
Frost has also signed up to co-produce new movie Function in the Junction starring Sienna Miller's ex-boyfriend, Rhys Ifans.

Sienna Miller is moving on from her break-up with Rhys Ifans by selling her London home - as it holds too many bad memories.
The Alfie star parted ways with the Welsh actor earlier this month, amid rumours she had rekindled her romance with her The Edge of Love co-star Matthew Rhys.
And now Miller, who also shared the Maida Vale, west London property with ex-boyfriend Jude Law, has decided the easiest way to move forward in her life is to put the house on the market.
She tells British publication The London Paper, "I want to sell that house. I don't like it any more. I'm over it."

Actress-turned-fashion designer Sadie Frost was rushed to a London hospital earlier this week (begs2Jun08) after she fell off of her bike.
The former wife of actor Jude Law was reportedly rushed to the emergency room by worried medics, who operated on the star's hand - using pins, plates and stitches to help heal the wound.
The star has been spotted zooming round the British capital on a push-bike in recent weeks in a bid to get fit.
However, even though the star was shaken by the accident, her friends have helped ease the pain - by humorously dubbing her battered hand "the claw", according the Britain's The Sun newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "It was very nasty and very painful but thankfully it wasn't more serious.
"She's taken it all in good spirits and has named her new hand 'the claw'."
