House Party 4 continues the franchise in fine style (minus Kid 'N Play), with enough cutesy mirth to appease undemanding urban comedy aficionados. For everyone else, there's little to recommend. Marques "Batman" Houston has a certain clean-cut rouge charm, but his mugging at the camera gets irritating before the credits are over. The rest of the attractive cast lends able support, and there are some sequences -- the psychotic taxi driver who abducts Uncle Charles (David Roberson), the colorful tow truck driver and his two obese daughters (played by Big Time and Hercules from Eddie Murphy's Nutty Professor movies) -- that have more than their share of laughs. ~ Buzz McClain, All Movie Guide
