Free Twilight, New Moon, and Other Prizes!

31 October 2009 11:52 PM, PDT

If there's one thing we love to do, it's giving stuff away. Seriously, we've been doing it for so many years, we can't even recall why we ever started. Everything from CDs and DVDs to jewelry and perfumes to movie tickets and clothing. Sure, it costs us quite a lot every single month; prizes are often donated but we also purchase them ourselves, and we have always burdened the shipping costs, which can be quite high when you consider they are mailed all over the world. We average one prize for every day of the year, or thirty in any given month. That amounts to thousands of prizes in just the past three years alone. With a focus on celebrities, we've always had Jonas Brothers and Twilight merchandise, Miley Cyrus for the kids, and much more, always more. So what are you waiting for? Find out what you've been missing. »

Battlestar Galactica: The Plan Movie Review

29 October 2009 11:40 PM, PDT

If you're a Battlestar Galactica fans still mourning the loss of the groundbreaking sci-fi series, and you just can't hold out until Caprica arrives on Syfy, then by all means run out now and buy Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, the new direct-to-dvd out now from Universal Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Edward James Olmos, features much of the show's cast and sheds some light on dangling threads from the late, great series, specifically the opening comments about the Cylons and their ominous plan. What was the plan? Well, it was to infiltrate humanity, in the process wiping out mankind on Caprica and aboard Galactica. The action shifts back and forth in time and place, with John Cavil (Dean Stockwell) -- a/k/a Brother John, a/k/a Cylon model Number One -- the central figure. Cavil hates every last human and sets in motion the events that ultimately »

Did Religion Play Too Much a Part in Twilight?

29 October 2009 12:01 PM, PDT

Robert Pattinson plays the handsome and mysterious vampire. Taylor Lautner plays the aggressive, yet playful werewolf. And the striking Kristen Stewart plays the naive human caught in a dangerous world. Twilight author Stephenie Meyer did an incredible job of giving depth to these characters; she made them come alive on every page of her books. Her saga is a beautiful tale of heartache, redemption, and young love interwoven with werewolves and vampires. But the taboo subject that many dare not talk about is whether or not Meyer's religion positively or negatively impacts the saga. It's no secret that the Twilight Saga was written by Mormon author Stephenie Meyer. In fact, before Meyer inked the deal with Summit to bring her books to the big screen, she had a few demands. Among the three rules, the most important to her religion was that the films were to be rated PG-13, not R, »

Chris Weitz Says Cry Already!

28 October 2009 11:41 PM, PDT

Coming into a close knit family was the task at hand for director Chris Weitz last year when it was announced he would direct New Moon. Fans, actors, and the crew supported Weitz throughout the whole process and we are only weeks away from seeing his masterpiece on the big screen. In a new interview with People Magazine, Weitz is divulging news on how he wants tears shed throughout New Moon. Before hearing this news, I already planned on packing my granny style tissues in my oversized boyfriend's sweater for opening night of New Moon. While reading New Moon, I was so torn between Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), I swear there were watermarks on the better half of the book. I hated that Edward left Bella (Kristen Stewart), I hated that Bella befriended Jacob, and I hated that they all had to suffer so much. There was »
