So You Think You Can Dance: Top 8 Perform, Live Thoughts (Page 1/3)

We're one week away from the So You Think You Can Dance season 6 finale and it's time for the Top 8 to prove why they've earned a spot. Of course, we have some pretty strong opinions on who is finale bound. However, a late season injury to a fan and judge favorite could put everything we thought we knew up in the air tonight.

Of course, there's only one way to fix this, watching the Top 8 perform live with me right here. Follow along with me as we watch four brand new couples take the stage and be sure to keep up with me in my 140 character quips on Twitter. »

'The Biggest Loser' Recap: And The Winner Is...

So here we are: one of these four people will win $250,000 and the distinction of being The Biggest Loser, at least this time around. And, for us, two hours of catching up with all the contestants of The Biggest Loser this season, and two hours of waiting as for who will be taking that title home. And they're also playing up the fact that one of the contestants will be getting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which I'm guessing has something to do with Jillian's new show. Oh, and right, the at-home winner. I always forget that!

But first, we get to find out who gets to take the third finalist slot. Remember, Rudy and Danny's huge losses last week kicked both Liz and Amanda below the yellow line, and everything went to a vote. Both come out and look amazing, but only one of them will take the slot. That slot goes to Amanda. »

Love Doctor Jason Mesnick Gives Advice to Tiger Woods

Eenie, meanie, miney, moe, catch a Tiger by the... incriminating voicemails!

All (terrible) jokes aside, it's been a rough couple of weeks for Tiger Woods. He crashed, he cheated, he apologized... but now what? Woods is now under an unbearable amount of public scrutiny, his sponsors are all contemplating whether or not to keep him around, and the future of his marriage is questionable at best.

With his life falling apart around him, Tiger Woods needs a rock. He needs some strength to carry on.

Meet Mrs. Bishop: Orla Brady Joins 'Fringe'

For the few folks like me who wonder where Peter Bishop got half his genes, well, we finally have the answer.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Irish actress Orla Brady has joined the cast of Fringe as Walter's wife and Peter's mother. The character, described as strong, smart and likable, will debut in episodes in early 2010, possibly just before the show's winter finale in February. »

Interview with Emily and Zooey Deschanel of 'Bones'

Other than a passionate Booth and Bones kiss, Bones fans have looked forward to few things more than the possibility of Emily Deschanel's sister and fellow actress Zooey guest starring on the show. We may still be waiting on a Booth and Bones kiss, but the wait is over when it comes to Zooey guest starring.

Zooey will be joining big sister Emily this Thursday on Bones' annual Holiday episode, "The Goop on the Girl." I had a chance to chat with both Emily and Zooey during a conference call about working together, their childhood Christmases, and  more. The two are definitely sisters, Zooey and Emily spent the majority of the interview taking over each other, laughing at each other, and sounding virtually identical. It was difficult to keep them straight, but an absolute delight to listen to. Behold, the most adorable interview ever. »

So You Think You Can Dance: Finale Predictions

It seems impossible to believe, but we're just one week and two eliminations away from the season 6 So You Think You Can Dance finale. With six dancers set to dance in the finale and only one week of America's vote deciding eliminations, it is less clear than ever before who is most likely to be crowned America's Favorite Dancer. However based on pre-performance show spoilers, our keen sense of predictions, and taking popularity into account, we're pretty sure we can tell you which six dancers will be taking the finale stage. »

Who's The Better Dancer: Ashleigh or Ryan?

Well, isn't this inevitable, us comparing the Di Lellos, Ashleigh and Ryan?

Of course. It's not really often that we see a married couple audition for So You Think You Can Dance, and more so, see both make it to the Top 20. And, in this case, the Top 10, too. What I find interesting, though, is how the two have grown throughout the competition, and how their fates have literally flipped over. »

What You Might See on 'So You Think You Can Dance': Top 8 Week

This season of So You Think You Can Dance is shaping up to be a really, really weird one. I've pointed out some of the reasons earlier--problematic scheduling, lack of public voting--and then, suddenly, next week being a top 6 finale rather than a top 4 finale is rearing its (slightly?) ugly head. If I don't feel disoriented enough by the visuals on the new set, I might as well pop a couple of migraine pills to stop the madness.

And then there's the injury curse. Noelle got injured, Mollee got injured, and now, Ellenore got injured. So, that means, yes, you most probably already know about at least one pair-up: her and Legacy doing a Travis routine and a Nappy Tabs routine. Well, you probably know about the other performances in tonight's performance show if you've been lurking around the forums. Fine, I'll repeat all of them anyway. As always, these »

'Caprica' Pilot Stills Released

7 December 2009 3:18 PM, PST

Reviews are generally mixed for the pilot of the Battlestar Galactica prequel Caprica, which premiered on DVD in April. The two-hour pilot, which will kick off on January 22 on SyFy, got varied receptions, from positive comparisons with BSG to a "lack in life-or-death intensity" still in relation to its much-celebrated sequel.

As January 22 is still a good month away, io9.com has released stills from the pilot episode of Caprica, which carefully noted the "flaws" in the Graystone and Adama families and their friends that launched the Cylons (Caprica begins with the creation of the first Centurions and will wrap up with the first Cylon War).

'The Office' Christmas Episode: Two Santa's?

7 December 2009 3:15 PM, PST

We've seen the pictures from this week's The Office Christmas episode, and from the synopsis we know that Michael (Steve Carell) will be mighty pissed when Jim (John Krasinski) allows Phyllis (Phyllis Smith) to be Santa at the office Christmas party.

Quoting a source, E! Online assures us that this season's Christmas episode will be at par with previous seasons'. Apparently, the big continuing bankruptcy storyline is set to continue without fail, so understandably, everyone in Scranton is a little down in the dumps.

'Life Unexpected' is 'Very WB'

7 December 2009 3:12 PM, PST

Fans of Buffy, Felicity, Charmed, Dawson's Creek, et al should be pleased with Life UneXpected, CW's quirky dramedy that is set to kick off January 18th. A source tells E! Online that Lux, which is also the name of the series' Juno-like little heroine, is "great" and is "very WB" - that is, the CW prior to the merger with Upn, which successfully launched such shows as Roswell, Popular, Gilmore Girls, and Everwood.

"[Life UneXpected is] cute and well-written as Privileged without the usual CW rich people," adds the source.

'Burn Notice' and 'One Tree Hill' Stars Cast in Hallmark Movie

7 December 2009 3:09 PM, PST

Burn Notice won't return to the USA Network until January 21st but Gabrielle Anwar fortunately has something to keep herself occupied during the five-month hiatus (the last episode aired August). The English actress is appearing alongside One Tree Hill star Craig Sheffer in a Hallmark Original Movie tentatively titled Murder Among Friends.

Anwar, who on Burn Notice plays Westen's ex Fiona Glenanne, will play art authenticator Joss Jenner, who joins her college girlfriends for a bridal shower that turns into a crime scene when one of the friends is found dead and is presumed to have been murdered. One of the friends becomes devastated and fixated on solving the crime. Sheffer, who plays Dan's older but under-achieving brother Keith on One Tree Hill, will play sheriff Zach Watts, who along with the local authorities immediately start an investigation.

Top Chef: Who's Favored to Win?

7 December 2009 3:06 PM, PST

Since this season's Top Chef is the Vegas edition, betting and odds can't be far behind, right? Them Vegas pundits have so far been right on the money, so to speak, up until last week when they predicted lone lady Jennifer to head home, and right now, a couple of days before the finals, guess who these people are putting their money on to win the whole thing?

The odds seem to be in favor of bearded Kevin. Starting with an already robust 8 to 1, the odds in favor of 26-year-old bearded Kevin (surprisingly the youngest in the trio) is now an almost insurmountable 6 to 5.

'How I Met Your Mother' Review: When One Window Closes, Another One Opens

7 December 2009 2:54 PM, PST

This week's episode of How I Met Your Mother was all about missed chances and broken opportunities. Ted ran into a lost love only to lose her again, Marshall looked back on his lost younger years with a tinge of regret, and Robin seduced Jim but failed to land him. At least Barney won his self-imposed challenge by hooking up with grandma in spite of wearing Marshall's overalls, while Ted's ultimate girl next door found love in her ultimate boy next door.

Sons of Anarchy: Series Creator Weighs in on the Finale and the Upcoming Season

7 December 2009 12:58 PM, PST

If there's one thing I've learned on Sons of Anarchy, it's that family always comes first in the world of Samcro. A lot of salt may have been added to Jax and Clay's wounds this season but the beef between these leather clad men has been put aside the moment Gemma came clean about her rape, and ultimately, when little Abel was abducted by Cameron.

'Gossip Girl' Wrap-Up: Chuck Has a Bart Attack While Serena Has a Smart Attack

7 December 2009 12:50 PM, PST

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Daddy Issues!!!

More extended plot summary: Chuck is haunted (mentally, but all too literally for our eyes) by his father, Bart, and his rigid expectations on the anniversary of Bart's death. Lily sends Rufus to her building co-op meeting, where he meets a pretty lady who accuses him of being a trophy husband. [Editor's note: Some trophy. Where'd you win that, the '86 Dumbo Dad Awards? Oh Yeah!] Maureen blackmails Serena with the letter from Her real daddy, saying she better stay the "Marilyn" to Maureen's "Jackie" if she doesn't want Rufus to find out that Lily was in a hotel room with Serena's father. [So That's what the letter said!]

Jenny is a drug dealer now. [Anyone who's seen how she dresses knows that there Must be some latent daddy issues rolling around in there causing so many terrible decisions, but they've never been mentioned as a cause of this newfound stupidity, per se.]

Meanwhile, Nate loves Serena almost as much as he loves doling out sage advice, and tries to convince her that Trip is a douche while also convincing Dan to go for it with Vanessa. Then Serena gets in a car crash with Trip, and the hit to the head »

ABC Gives Audiences 'Flash Forward' in March, Sawyer Pleased

7 December 2009 12:12 PM, PST

After last week's fall finale, the fans are hurrying to have more details divulged on Flash Forward.  Unfortunately for us, the ABC network has opted to delay the show's return.  Yes, it's still coming back next year, but way later than expected.

Several reports have revealed ABC's decision to bring Flash Forward back in March 4.  From there, it's going to have 12 episodes to air until the end of one season.  That's definitely a long winter break and one long season, but will it still be worth our wait?

Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Khloe Denies Fighting with Lamar

7 December 2009 12:05 PM, PST

As we expected, Khloe Kardashian has retorted to reports claiming she and her husband Lamar Odom are having fights.  Even though we were quick to pass it off as something every couple has, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star felt the need to clear up the rumors.  Again, no surprise there.

After finding out that a source told Radar Online about her and Lamar in the bar, Khloe took to her Twitter and made her announcement.  "I'm so tired of all these crazy rumors that Lamar and I are fighting!" she wrote.  "Come on people, the honeymoon phase is the best!  I love being married!"

Supernatural: Blast from the Past

7 December 2009 12:01 PM, PST

Supernatural's fifth season is shaping up nicely as we unearth more dirt on the unpredictable second half of the season. So far, we've stumbled on a zombie storyline, a body swap plot, a horrific Valentine's Day episode and a psych ward scene, just to name a few. There's also some time traveling involved though don't expect a lighthearted storyline involving Doc Brown.

Warning: This article contains spoilers!
