Jamie Archer has reportedly been considering his future on The X Factor due to his worsening relationship with Simon Cowell. Archer, 34, threatened to quit after he was banned from going on tour with Bon Jovi because he is contracted to the ITV show, reports The Sun. A friend of the contestant claimed that he is also fed up with how he is being treated by his mentor Cowell. Shankman Gets ‘Rock of Ages’ and Oscar Gigs

Director, producer, and choreographer Adam Shankman has landed two new Hollywood gigs.  The first is an adaptation of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages” for New Line Cinema, and the other is producing the upcoming 82nd telecast of the Academy Awards.

“Ages” is a jukebox of 80’s rock anthems from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison and Asia.  The film centers on an aspiring musician and an actress who fall in love against the backdrop of classic rock.

According to Variety, Shankman hopes this will be, “Mamma Mia! for dudes.” Maybe it’s just me, but he might be overestimating how many “dudes” want to see choreographed dance moves to “We Built This City.”

Shankman, who directed Hairspray and is preparing for Hairspray 2, is no stranger to song and dance films and is currently a permanent judge on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance. »

Gavin Rossdale Guest Starring In "Criminal Minds"

Former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale is set to guest star in the crime drama "Criminal Minds" after fellow rocker Jon Bon Jovi backed out of the role.

Bon Jovi was first asked to play a Goth rock star FBI profilers believe is a serial killer in an episode of the CBS series, but had to back out.

Rossdale, whose acting credentials include roles in "Constantine," "The Game of Their Lives," and "How to Rob a Bank" among others, will fill in for the role; his episode will be aired sometime in the fall.

"Criminal Minds" depicts the adventures of a team of profilers from FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau). Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Shemar Moore, Aj Cook, and Thomas Gibson star.

It must feel great to be hate-free. Even though he and Christina Milian are no longer making beautiful music together — personally or professionally — Dre of the production duo Cool & Dre says he's Ok with her moving on.

"I think it's gonna be a good fit for her," Dre said of her pair-up with The-Dream.

"His pen is amazing, especially when it comes to writing records for females," Dre added. "If he does a majority of the album, it's gonna be big. We have nothing but love for Christina.
