I love Bones' Christmas episodes, because they're always so cute and sweet and usually funny. And they warm my little Scrouge heart with the joy of the holiday season. Fox has released photos and a synopsis of the December 10th episodes of Bones (it will then be on holiday hiatus until January 14th).  The Christmas episode marks the return of Ryan ONeal as Brennan's father and the appearance of Zooey Deschanel (Emily Deschanel's sister).

Also, check out the photos, promo and behind-the-scenes photos from the December 3rd episode.

A few days ago I posted promo photos for the December 3rd episode of Bones (next week will be pre-empted) and now we have a promo video for you.  It's a gamer-centric episode (and an Avatar-centric episode in a brilliant cross-promotion move by Fox because they really want to recoup the $300 million they spent on making the James Cameron picture).

Oh my God, how much do I love Bones? Answer: A Lot.  If you've been watching trailers for Avatar, you will have noticed Joel David Moore, who has played intern Colin Fisher on several episodes of Bones.  Well, Moore is back and there's a big cross-promotion going on as Sweets and Fisher take turns camping out for tickets to the opening on AvatarBones And Avatar in one episode?  It's like Nutella and peanut butter together on toast (try it, it's yummy).  It's also funny and awesome.

Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis for the December 3rd episode and you can check them out below.  Also, take a peek at the promo photos for the November 19th episode, where Booth's grandfather makes an appearance.  Then it's a week's break until the December 3rd episode.

CinemaSpy's Week-End TV Recap (Nov. 14)

14 November 2009 9:10 PM, PST | CinemaSpy | See recent CinemaSpy news »

The big television news for the week preceding, was, of course, Fox's decision to cancel Dollhouse, a move not necessarily unexpected, but still lamented by fans of the show. Sadly, the writing had been on the wall from the beginning of the season—without a significant uptick in viewership, the series' life-expectancy would be short. It didn't happen...and it was. Dollhouse will return Dec. 4, with its series finale set for Jan. 22.

Fox's other genre series, Fringe, rebounded a bit to its pre-World Series numbers with a 3.7 rating/6 share. That equates to a 19 percent jump from the previous week, but still trails behind The CW, where the network's flagship skein, Smallville, finally regained some ground to tie its former Thursday night stablemate, Supernatural.

Over at ABC, V led all genre shows for the second week of sweeps, despite a more than 25 percent drop from its series premiere, earning a 6.6 rating/10 share, »

Bones: Preview of Episode 5.4 "The Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood"

8 October 2009 9:46 AM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Bones returns tonight with a brand new case involving a seemingly perfect neighborhood. It also looks like the show will also focus on more character development as it puts the spotlight on Booth and Jeffersonian intern Arastoo.

When we last saw Bones, we got a glimpse of the conservative Amish life and witnessed Cam (Tamara Taylor) as she faced the challenges of becoming a mother to adopted daughter Michelle, who was getting pretty intimate with her boyfriend. It was a good thing that Booth was stepped up to play the protective uncle. »

6 October 2009 8:33 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Bones goes formal for episode 4×05 "A Night at the Bones Museum", airing October 15th.  We've got another murder connected to the Jeffersonian (such a dangerous place to work, if you ask me) and Brennan goes on a date with someone else connected to Booth (not his brother, but it'll probably get to him).  Check out the synopsis and promo photos below, courtesy of Fox.

Brennan And Booth’S Latest Case Could Change History

Brennan and Booth are called to investigate what appears to be human remains on an electrical fence. The mysterious corpse is later determined to be a mummified Egyptian royal on loan to the Jeffersonian. The anthropological mystery has Brennan in a tizzy, when the Jeffersonian curator prepping the mummy for exhibition is murdered, the team suspects foul play. Brennan’s investigation of the curator sheds new light on the life of the Egyptian royal, turning their case into one of historic proportions. »

Exclusive Video Interview: Tamara Taylor of 'Bones'

28 September 2009 4:45 AM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

The only person more excited for season 5 of Bones than us fans, may very well be Tamara Taylor. Massive change is afoot at The Jeffersonian and for Dr. Cam Saroyan during season 5, and Tamara Taylor couldn't be happier, or more lovely.

Though she plays quite the intimidating character on TV, in person Tamara Taylor is anything but. She's easy going, surprisingly funny, and jaw-droppingly gorgeous. While she was dressed to the nines for our interview, in a retro polka dot frock that begged her to do a twirl, Tamara told me she's much more a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and that she's a lot "goofier" than Cam. »

TV Review: ‘Bones’ Returns to Start Fifth Season With Disappointing Episode

16 September 2009 3:04 PM, PDT | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – If you’re like a lot of “Bones” fans you were disappointed and angry about the bait-and-switch in place during the season four finale, which promised to feature the inevitable hook-up between Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) but turned out to be nothing more than a dream episode. Sadly, the bitter taste left by the finale continues into the start of season five with the worst premiere episode the often-excellent program has provided to date.

Television Rating: 2.5/5.0 Clearly addressing viewer concerns about the finale of last season, one that ended with Booth waking from his coma-induced alternate reality to not even recognize Bones, the season premiere of “Bones” spends a lot of time trying to justify that awkward ending to a hit-and-miss season. If you missed it, Booth was in a coma that included a dream state where he loved Brennan.

Bones: Fox Series Renewed for Seasons Five and Six

16 May 2009 11:08 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Fans of the Emily Deschanel / David Boreanaz series, Bones, won't have to worry about their show being cancelled for awhile. Fox has just given the series a two year renewal.

Bones is centered on an unlikely alliance between an FBI agent (Boreanaz) and a forensics anthropologist (Deschanel) and her team. The rest of the cast includes Michaela Conlin, T.J. Thyne, Eric Millegan, Tamara Taylor, Michaela Conlin, John Francis Daley, Patricia Belcher, and David Greenman.

Considering that Bones' ratings are strong, its seemed odd that the show hadn't been renewed until now. According to Variety, the holdup was over a common topic these days, license fees.

To no surprise, the Fox network and the show's studio, 20th Century Fox TV, are owned by the same company. While you might expect that that would make things easier, it actually made for longer negotiations. There are other profit participants involved so there »
