This past week Bloody Disgusting's Evan Katz headed up north to Vancouver to check out the set of Sony Stage 6's 30 Days Of Night: Dark Days, which is currently being directed by Ben Ketai. Beyond the break you'll find a little teaser from set, which reveals some brand new casting including Ginger Snaps star Katherine Isabelle! While Id already known about the casting of Kiele Sanchez, Mia Kirschner, Rhys Coiro, Diora Baird, Harold Perrineau, Troy Ruptash, Jackson Berlin, John De Santis, and Marco Sorian I was pleasantly surprised to find Katherine Isabelle of Ginger Snaps fame was has a role in the film. I cant give away too much, but her scene involved a skimpy blue nightgown, fifty degree weather, and a highly unorthodox vampiric initiation ritual. Really screwed up, intense stuff. More »

Reports in September that the "30 Days of Night" sequel would begin filming in October appear to have been corroborated yesterday as filming kicked off in Vancouver.
Director Ben Ketai's follow-up to the 2007 adaptation of Steve Niles' Idw comic (directed by "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" director David Slade) seems to be proceeding on schedule with actress Kiele Sanchez as Stella Oleson instead of Melissa George.
"Not something I've seen spread around anywhere else yet, but the sequel to '30 Days of Night,' 'Dark Days,' began shooting in Vancouver today," Idw publisher Chris Ryall posted on his Twitter account.
Sanchez will be joined on set by newcomers Mia Kirshner, Rhys Coiro and Harold Perrineau. Coiro and Perrineau will unite with her character to track down the vampire queen Lilith who was responsible for the destruction of her Alaskan town in the first film.

The official cast and synopsis for "30 Days of Night: Dark Days," the sequel to the 2007 adaptation of Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith's comic book, has been announced just days after an initial look at the movie's acting roster.
Most of the important casting notes—including the arrivals of Mia Kirshner ("The L Word"), Rhys Coiro ("Entourage") and Harold Perrineau ("Lost")—remain in place, though perhaps the biggest news is that Melissa George will not be reprising her role as Stella Oleson, despite Niles' own hopes.
Bloody Disgusting reports that Oleson will instead be played by Kiele Sanchez, perhaps best known as the castaway Nikki on the third season of "Lost."
While her character wasn't exactly a fan-favorite, Sanchez as an actress wasn't widely panned—viewers mostly took issue with Nikki's introduction into the series—so her status as the new "30 Days of Night" lead shouldn't be seen as an automatic downgrade from Melissa George. »

There's been plenty of talk the past week about a former cast member of Lost who might not be coming back to the island for the ABC show's last season. By process of elimination and a little detective work, some thought that the person who didn't want to come back to the show was Harold Perrineau, who played Michael. He left the show once, came back later, and then was killed off in a boat explosion. After that he didn't have many nice things to say about the producers or the show.
But you can forget about all that talk, because Perrineau says that he would love to come back to the show for the last season but he hasn't been asked yet. As for all that stuff about not liking his time on the show or holding a grudge against the producers, he says he loved his time on the show, »

"But if I was asked to come back to Lost, indeed I would say yes. We all started that journey together, and I would love to be able to end it with everybody.
