NCIS Spoilers: A Love Interest For Gibbs?

30 November 2009 12:13 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

There's no new episode this week, but we do have a Christmas to look forward to on NCIS come December 15. Might Leroy Jethro Gibbs hang up his mistletoe that night?

It looks like it - at least soon, if not that week. Executive producer Shane Brennan tells TV Guide that Mark Harmon’s Gibbs is going to have someone to kiss this season!

We haven't seen Gibbs get romantic with a woman since Col. Hollis Mann in Season Four. That drought is about to end, as Brennan says “there is a kiss in Gibbs’ future."

This new female will stick around for a while, too. But Gibbs had better watch his back, because Brennan warns her kiss may be “romantic or a Judas kiss.” Thoughts?

Looks like NCIS fans will get a glimpse of Gibbs' love life in early 2010.

NCIS Review: "Endgame"

11 November 2009 5:43 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

For a quote-unquote procedural military crime drama, NCIS has some pretty awesome characters. This was our lasting impression from last night's terrific episode, "Endgame."

Case in point: Leon Vance.

The NCIS director may not strike you as particularly interesting at first glance, but the back story and family components we were introduced to last night left us wanting more.

Vance and his weird connection to North Korean sniper Kai, who killed his partner in 1992, fueled the episode, which ended with the two facing off, guns drawn, at his house.

Despite dreaming of taking her out for 17 years, he couldn't do it following Gibbs' revelation that Kai was merely out to punish the North Koreans who made her what she is.

Kai was basically on a suicide mission, and after killing two men in the U.S. responsible for her assassin training (thus sparking the NCIS investigation), she came to Vance. »

NCIS' Michael Weatherly on Tony Dinozzo: He's Annoying and Irritating

2 November 2009 12:31 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

There's no "i" in NCIS. Oh, wait, there is. While TV's #1 show features a talented cast from top to bottom, Michael Weatherly has probably shined the most so far this season.

In the heart-stopping Season 7 premiere, "Truth or Consequences," Weatherly's Tony Dinozzo was featured in an episode that seemed engineered to show off his character.

Whether he's tormenting McGee, being chastised by Gibbs, flirting with Ziva (Cote de Pablo) or annoying pretty much everyone, he's remained front and center ever since.

In an interview with TV Guide Magazine, Weatherly talked about his juvenile character, a song he has coming up on the NCIS soundtrack and much more. Excerpts below:

On NCIS now being TV's No. 1 show, not just the No. 1 non-reality show: "I just don’t want anything to change. No. 3 is kind of better. They’re still not gonna cancel you if you’re No. 3. But now everyone’s looking. »

NCIS: Dinozzo and McGee in the Slammer?

What happens when the people who are supposed to uphold the law don't?

NCIS' Tony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) will find out in Tuesday's episode, and we've got the mug shots to prove it.

Ratings: NCIS kicks off Season with explosive numbers

In "The Inside Man," a blogger accuses the team of mishandling its investigation of the murder of a lieutenant, even alleging that NCIS covered up the real crime. When the blogger ends up dead, the team is forced to reopen the old case to clear itself of any wrongdoing.

To that end, Dinozzo and McGee resort to some less-than-ethical means of evidence collection, which doesn't sit well with D.C. police. Before you know it, they're headed to the slammer...

'NCIS' Reunion Recap: Can Gibbs Trust Ziva Again?

29 September 2009 5:41 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Of course, Ziva (Cote de Pablo) was back, and while it wasn't explicitly made clear if she's back to the NCIS team, we all know it's going in that direction. On this episode, we get the usual murder mystery that involved a cop who was out for revenge - although there was also something going on behind the shadows here.

We realize early on that the rescue mission that took the team to North Africa was only the first step of this thing with Ziva; getting her to be back to NCIS was another matter entirely. Eventually, it's up to Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to decide if Ziva would be back or not. At least she aced Vance's (Rocky Carroll) psych evaluation. But trying to rebuild ties with the McGee (Sean Murray) and Tony (Michael Weatherly) were more complicated. Abby (Pauley Perrette), meanwhile, kind of blasted Ziva since she doubted Tony's motives in shooting Rivkin, »

NCIS: Preview of Episode 7.2 "Reunion"

28 September 2009 7:08 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

On tonight's episode of NCIS, it looks like we're back to business after last week's harrowing affair as the team investigates the bizarre death of a Marine, to which his friends may be linked. However, not everyone's in the clear yet as Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is given the final word on Ziva's (Cote de Pablo) future with NCIS, although I highly doubt it if it's going to be anything drastic.

On last week's kick-off, Tony (Michael Weatherly) was captured by a Sudanese terrorist and was interrogated on how did exactly he get there (perfect time for a sort of reintroduction and a refresher in one for the whole NCIS experience). He essentially told the story of the how the team worked after Ziva went back to Mossad, how he and McGee (Sean Murray) tried to find a replacement, and how the team finally realized that Ziva was in danger and was therefore need of rescuing. »

NCIS: Preview of Season 7 Premiere "Truth or Consequences"

21 September 2009 7:20 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Fans of the much talked-about Tiva (that would be Tony and Ziva in NCIS speak) won't be pleased with tonight's season 7 premiere of CBS procedural NCIS. Tony (Michael Weatherly) and McGee (Sean Murray) are instructed by Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to search for a replacement for Ziva (Cote de Pablo), whose homecoming to Israel had not exactly been the most pleasant last season. From what we know, she was captured by the terrorists in Somalia that Rivkin had been investigating.

And true to form, Ziva is a no-show on tonight's premiere. Instead, we get a sort of Ziva, same willowy hair, same no-frills demeanor, and wouldn't you know it, Tony likes her too! The NCIS team heads back to work, despite the past still weighing heavily on their minds. In one clip, the two special agents interview one Clair Connell from the DEA as a potential replacement for Ziva. She has »

Open letter to showrunners of procedurals starring actors we'd like to see shirtless

12 August 2009 4:00 AM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Dear showrunners, Hi. We know you're back in production because your Twitter updates tell us so. You're busy breaking stories, thinking up cases that will play well in syndication and, just maybe, reveal something about your characters. Do not neglect your men's chests. Look at what the folks at CSI: Miami have already accomplished with new addition Eddie Cibrian (pictured, courtesy of a People First Look). To stop a gunshot victim from bleeding out, he must take off his shirt and use it as a tourniquet. Totally believable. All this required was a little forethought: Presumably, his character, an officer from the Hollywood division who transfers to Miami, does not believe in belts. We realize this shirt-as-tourniquet routine won't work for all of you. Fans of Bones, for instance, already know that David Boreanaz's FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth loves his "Cocky" belt buckle. Alex O'Loughlin, on his new CBS medical drama Three Rivers, »
