Born in England but married an Australian at 17 and emigrated there, where she has lived ever since. Enjoys painting and gardening and still keeps active by learning computing and having an ambition to write.

Much thanks to the fact she had been in Crawfords Drama School together with Charles 'Bud' Tingwell, she got a long serving background character role in "Prisoner" (1979). After the series end, she and Hazel Henley were the 2nd longest serving members of the show (appeared here and there uncredited in the background and occasionally credited with or without very few lines, from episode #2-#692). Elspeth Ballantyne was the longest serving member with appearances from the very first episode to the very last.
