Legendary pop supergroup Abba will never perform together on stage gain - because they refuse to tarnish their reputation by becoming a .cover band".
The Dancing Queen hitmakers, who enjoyed huge success in the 1970s and early 1980s, reunited in public for the first time in 22 years on Friday at the Swedish premiere of movie musical Mamma Mia!.
But singer/songwriter Björn Ulvaeus has shot down any talk of a comeback with his bandmates Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog.
He says, "We will never appear on stage again.
"There is simply no motivation to regroup. Money is not a factor and we would like people to remember us as we were - young, exuberant, full of energy and ambition.
"I remember Robert Plant saying Led Zeppelin were a cover band now because they cover all their own stuff. I think that hit the nail on the head."

Abba have appeared in public together for the first time in years at the Swedish premiere of new movie Mamma Mia!. Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog attended the event along with the film's star-studded cast, which includes Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog joined the film's stars, including Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, at the Stockholm screening, much to the delight of the band's diehard fans - many of whom had camped out for several hours.
Mamma Mia! brings the hits of the legendary 1970s group to life on the big screen and is based on the stage production of the same name.

Ola Brunkert, a former drummer for 1970s Swedish pop group Abba, was found dead from an apparent accident in his home in Mallorca, Spanish authorities said Monday. He was 61. A shattered glass pane apparently caused the musician to bleed to death, Reuters reports. A spokeswoman for the Civil Guard police said an autopsy is underway. According to the official Abba Web site, Brunkert, a one-time jazz drummer, also belonged to the Slim's Blues Gang, before becoming part of the pop group Science Poption in the mid-'60s.
