The 2009 Teen Choice Awards were held Sunday night at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California, and the show will air tonight, Monday, August 10th, only on Fox. Winners were handpicked by teens who logged into teenchoiceawards.com and cast over 83 million votes in support of their favorite celebrities in film, television, music, sports, and fashion. Pop icon Britney Spears joins this summer's choicest party when she receives the Ultimate Choice Award at Teen Choice 2009 airing Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 Pm Et/Pt) on Fox. Additionally, Sean Kingston will perform his hit single "Fire Burning" on the two-hour star-studded special.

Spears, who holds the record as the female artist with the most Teen Choice Surfboard Awards, returns stateside from the European leg of her "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour to receive the coveted award in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry.

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold over 63 million albums worldwide. Her albums include "...Baby One More Time," "Oops!...I Did It Again," "Britney," "In The Zone" and "Blackout." Her current album, "Circus," which was released in December 2008, debuted at No. 1 in six countries and in the Top 10 in an additional seven. »
