The Pink Panther 2” looks set to top the weekend charts in 3,243 theatres. Sony/MGM’s first reincarnated film in 2006 brought in over $82 million in U.S. sales alone. Internationally, the comedy pulled in $76.6 million. Steve Martin, Emily Mortimer, Jean Reno, Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina John Cleese and Aishwarya Rai form the main cast. Warner Bros. Pictures’ comedy “He's Just Not That Into You” has the next biggest opening this weekend with 3,175 venues. The strong cast includes Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Justin Long, Drew Barrymore, Kevin Connolly and Bradley Pepper. Neil Gaiman’s “Coraline” finds 2.298 locations via Focus Features. Voice talents include Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Ian McShane. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” director Henry Selick helms and adapts the screenplay for the animated family fantasy.  "Push" review by Eric Sloss, Writer   With cold weather blanketing much of the country, “Push” is a perfect antidote for the wintertime blues.  It will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will transpire next.   In 1945, the Nazis were experimenting on people.  They were trying to give normal people special powers to help in their cause of global domination.  They weren’t able to fully integrate their program with their loss in the war.  The American government jumped on the idea and went ahead with implementing it.  The government came up with a secret division appropriately called The Division.  Problems arise when people do not want to go with the program and want to live a normal life instead of becoming super soldiers.   There are various categories of these super powers.  There are the watchers, who can see into the future.  Movers have the power of telekinesis. »

This 26-image slideshow contains the official press images for “Push,” which was directed by Paul McGuigan and features Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou. The Summit Pictures release opens on Friday, February 6th, 2009.

Interestingly, Dakota Fanning has recently been the subject of rumors surrounding her audition for “New Moon,” another film produced by Summit, who had their biggest hit to date last year with “Twilight,” starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Until then, there’s “Push”.
