Sometimes, when you hear a movie is being turned into a TV show, you can’t help but cringe. It’s not always easy to make the transition from feature film to television show, especially when the movie has a loyal following. Some of the movies that have made the best transition into the TV world include M.A.S.H, Stargate, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Could Gattaca join that list?
Though often overlooked, Gattaca was one of the more interesting science fiction films to come out of the 1990s. Featuring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law, the movie explored a futuristic society where genetic engineering was the norm, creating a world where “Valids” (individuals who had been genetically enhanced before birth) live in a socially superior position to “Invalids” (average Joes like you and me).

One of the alleged ringleaders of the so-called Burglar Bunch just bought himself some time. While Nicholas Prugo was expected to enter a plea for his role in the A-list thefts in court this morning, he instead was granted a postponement to his arraignment, and will now fess up—or, in his case, not fess up—on Dec. 2. Prugo's attorney, Sean G. Erenstoft, told E! News that the 18-year-old will plead not guilty to the host of felony charges he faces for his role in allegedly ripping off Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox and others. And while he's keen to promote his client's innocence, he requested the delay to ensure that Prugo—now out on... »

The teen thieves who stole over $3 million from young Hollywood celebrities didn't have to bother breaking into the stars' homes -- they simply walked through the door.

While some Hollywood stars are vigilant about guarding their private lives, others are apparently leaving doors wide open. Suspects in the teen burglary gang - who allegedly made off with more than $3 million in jewelry, clothes and other luxury goods from the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Megan Fox and at least five other celebrities - gained entry to the homes mainly by finding doors unlocked, according to a search warrant released in the case. The stars' security was lax in other ways: At Lohan's residence, the suspects broke in by prying open a window using a screwdriver, the documents say. »

The Hollywood Burglary Bunch apparently has no problems eating its own. As we previously reported, investigators believe the ringmaster was one Rachel Lee, and now court documents obtained Friday by E! News offer yet more details into the case against her. Lee was seemingly sold out by her alleged partner-in-crime, Nicholas Prugo, who is quoted in an affidavit saying she orchestrated hits on such stars as Orlando Bloom, Audrina Patridge and Brian Austin Green. Prugo told detectives that Lee chose their celebrity targets, while he would gather information and pictures on the Internet. He also told investigators she was primarily after the designer wardrobes of celebs she... »

Jake Gyllenhaal puts on his sexy face in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Photo: Walt Disney Pictures I'm not much of a gamer, and that may in fact be an understatement considering in the last few years the only games I have played and finished are "Gears of War," "Burnout," "Uncharted," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" and just a couple of days ago "Uncharted 2." I don't know where that places me in the gamer revolution, but considering that's about 6 years of gaming outside of playing a little "Tiger Woods," "NBA Street" and "Hot Shots Golf" I would say I am on the outside looking in. However, I'd like to think I know enough to at least open up a discussion concerning the growing trend of adapting video games into feature films, primarily based on the recently released trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, a film »
