He hosted four telecasts of the MGM film The Wizard of Oz (1939), beginning on January 26, 1964 (the film was not shown on television in 1963, possibly because President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, and the nation was still in mourning during the second week of December, which was when the film was usually shown).

Narrator for "Snow White and Rose Red", a children's book-and-record set (later issued on tape).
