A Hamptons Bash Benefiting the Empire State Pride Agenda

There was no sign of tea sandwiches or even tea for that matter (well, maybe a nice, strong Long Island Ice Tea) at the 17th annual Hamptons Tea Dance benefiting the Empire State Pride Agenda, which works tirelessly to enhance the social welfare and equality of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered New Yorkers. Touted as “the gay event of the summer Hamptons season,” 1,400 well-dressed and mostly well-mannered members of the gay and straight communities converged on the beautiful 10A Ranch in East Hampton, home of Will Trinkle and Juan Granados. The sprawling former stables once housed Lee and Jackie Bouvier’s horses but were converted to cottages in the 60s and 70s to house Georgica homeowners wanting to rent their estates for extra income. The GLAAD Awards Kick Off in NYC by Honoring Tyra

The annual series of nationwide GLAAD media award ceremonies kicked off this weekend in NYC. Vanessa Williams and her pregnant Ugly Betty costar Ana Ortiz were two of the attendees, while Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award for her efforts to increase "visibility and understanding of the gay and lesbian community." T.R. Knight and Chris Noth also came out to show their support, taking the stage and looking handsome in their suits. Los Angeles and San Francisco awards are still coming up, but the Manhattan stars looked like they were enjoying the kickoff event as they smiled and mingled the night away.
